About

Born and raised in Austin, Texas, a city rich in creative culture and a state of beautiful hill country and slower living, I've been lucky to be surrounded by great art, inspiring me from a young age. Growing up having severe dyslexia and dysgraphia, I faced challenges in communication, which led me to attend speech therapy for the first thirteen years of my life. Art quickly became a primary form of expression, allowing me to convey thoughts and emotions when words failed. In high school, I started to take art more seriously. In 2021, I won a Scholastic Art & Writing Award (National Silver Medalist for Drawing & Illustration). Yet, these early works didn't resonate with me. I now strive to push beyond early student success, pursuing to create art that reconnects with child-like impressions of the world—raw, authentic, and uninhibited. With a refined skill set and deeper perspective, I seek to express what once felt inexpressible, capturing experimentation and perseverance into every brushstroke.

I am currently a student at Colgate University pursuing a History major and an Art History minor while competing as an NCAA Division 1 Men's Lacrosse goalie. In addition to my passion for sports, I enjoy health and fitness activities like weightlifting, mountain biking, and boxing. I'm also a devoted Christian and family man with two golden retrievers I adore. I feel fortunate to live in Austin and am grateful for my family there—whether they are immediate relatives or friends—and for everything I've been involved in. I truly appreciate their support up to this point.
